Alliance Day

Based on the rankings from Round One, teams will be split into alliances. The top 10 teams will be determined the alliance leads who are in charge of submitting code. Each alliance will consist of 4 - 5 teams each.

Information

Alliance Day Event

On July 17th (2PM EST), the Alliance Day Event will be held. On this day, each team will form an alliance with another team from the opposite division. At least one representative from each team must participate in the online Alliance Day Event for the team to continue to the alliance phase.

Who to Choose

Based on rankings, the top ten teams will be selected as alliance leads. The rest of the team will be randomly placed into an alliance. Alliances consist of 4 - 5 teams.

Post-Alliance Day

Each Alliance will use this time period to collaborate on writing or improving their code so that the alliance submits ONE final code that will be referred to as a Player on the ISS.

Finals

Each team's code will be run by the astronauts on the ISS via a live link with the team at NASA

25. Each Player’s code will be ran multiple times, each time with a different set of numbers. The average score of the runs will be used to determine final rankings.

All teams are required to collaborate on a final code for their alliance.

3 / Communication is key

Teams are given only a week to finalize code meaning it is essential for teams to communicate on findings, updates, and plans.
